A tangled and gnarled fallen tree resting on a shadowy slope carpeted with dried fallen leaves. A mixed forest fills the background, with sunlight seeping in through the canopy. Image taken at the Tricity Landscape Park, Gdansk, Poland.

The scene itself is nice, but it gave me some trouble while editing. It came out bloomy, which has a certain appeal to it, but it's not what I was aiming for. I know the effect is mostly due to imprecise masking, which bothers me. Still, there it is in all its glory. I might revisit the image and edit it differently at some point in the future, just to see what happens.
